I promise you that you'll never find yourself with nothing to do in Berlin. It's practically impossible, what with really cool places to explore and chill bars/cafes to hang out at on weekends. Also, if you have a penchant for Asian food... I have finally been to a really nice Asian restaurant in Berlin, and I can't wait for the next visit back there to try out more of their food.
So here’s a list so far of the bars, cafes and restaurants I’ve been to in Berlin:
1. Seoul Kitchen
Located near Warschauer Straße, this place is a must-go if you’re a fan of Korean or Japanese food. I tried the Ramen Burger when I was there, and I’ve never had anything like that before – really unique. With fried, densely packed ramen patties in place of burger buns, the crisp outside and soft inside just makes you want more with each bite. It’s also a really generous portion for 9.50 Euros! I had to struggle to finish it because it was so huge.
2. Klunkerkranich
This place is the coolest bar I’ve been to in Berlin – it’s located on a rooftop! I was completely blown away (not literally, thank goodness, the weather in Berlin has been great). With both indoor and outdoor seating, the place is huge! Sadly, I came here only at night, but we did manage to catch the end of the sunset. I would definitely recommend coming here before the sun sets because the view is absolutely gorgeous! Entry isn’t too expensive either, costing 4 Euros. There is a DJ playing in the indoor area, so if you’re up to bust some moves, definitely head there. This place is definitely must-visit, your eyes will thank you for the amazing view up there.
3. Bacis Coffee
The best part about this place is that it’s right next to the main campus of FU Berlin. So all students at FU, if you don’t already know, this is a really great place to get coffee! Introduced to me by a friend on a really impromptu note, I’ve had one of the best Cappuccinos here. It was especially good because the foam was so, so tasty – sweet and steamed to perfection. The microfoam for me is one of the biggest factors as to what makes a good Cappuccino, and this place has it on point. Also I really love how they have fruit infused water. Don’t know if most cafes in Berlin have it but, it was a really nice touch.
Having visited three places that I would definitely want to return to in the span of one week, I would say I’m making pretty good progress. May my wallet be blessed for the coming ones.
