My name is Tuhina and I have been living in Germany for 4 years (and have been in love with the country for most of my life). I am about to conclude my Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. During my studies, I specialised in Energy Technology, which entailed consideration, calculation and exploration of new methods of reducing energy consumption in newer machines. As a consequence of my fascination with car industry, I wrote my thesis with Schaeffler on a topic pertaining to the contemporary automobile technology. And what better place to do it but the ‘Heimat’ for cars, Germany!
Besides being involved in engineering sciences, I have been teaching Business English at international firms as a part-time job; which has turned out to be a great idea. I am doing an industrial internship in Stuttgart right now and learning about the workings of modern machine fabrication. Concurrently, I am also a member of the Formula Student team of my university, known as KA-RaceIng.
