Karte HalleMy name is Merushka Peterson, I am 19 years old and I come from Pretoria, South Africa.Currently, I am residing in Halle (Saale) in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany since October 2009, where I am doing a Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences at the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU). My scholarship is provided by the general foundation fund of the MLU and the „BetreuungsInitiative Deutsche Auslands- und Partnerschulen“ (BIDS) also supports me with a Motivational Scholarship. Before coming to Germany, I attended the Deutsche Schule Pretoria and there I obtained a National Senior Certificate after successfully completing Grade 12. I love meeting new and different people because I believe that knowing and understanding people from different cultural backgrounds helps us become more openminded as individuals. I enjoy doing sports; fitness training and handball in particular, reading, dancing and yesss shopping! My motto in life is: We were all born with the capability to become successful, all we have to do is believe it. So, believe in yourself, God, face the daily ups and downs with equal grace and remember, love is what keeps the world together.
