Hi lovely people,

I went to red dot design museum in Essen on the last weekend. Featuring more than 2,000 exhibits, this museum accommodates the world’s  largest exhibition of  contemporary design especially in product design field.

The museum is located in the Zollverein coal mine, once the most modern and most productive coal mine of the world. After its closure, it was appointed in 2001 UNESCO World Heritage.

I think it’s really unique place that combine the coal mine of the world heritage and design museum.  Also they have world’s best communication design exhibition; for 25 years, the Red Dot Award communication Design has been awarding projects of convincing design quality.

In 2016, 63 outstanding submissions to the competition received the Red Dot: Best of the Best. It’s worth to see them especially for art and design students!
