Pre Departure Thoughts 2

I had received the confirmation of my DAAD scholarship in December 2015. By the end of January 2016, I received my scholarship letters in my DAAD portal. I applied for my Visa in the month of March and I received my visa within one month in the month of April.

As I was eager to learn about the weather, education system and life in Germany, I used to search in the interned since a long time ago. I also contacted with some of the seniors and friends from my country who were studying and living in Germany to know more about the place.

After receiving my visa, I left from my job about 3 weeks before my departure to Germany. I spent my time meeting with my close friends and relatives, shopping important stuffs and preparing for my journey.

I realized that the weather in Germany is about 10 degrees colder than that in Nepal. That’s why, I packed more of my winter clothes. That left me with comparatively less space for food and gadgets in my luggage.   Nevertheless, I managed it well and I had no problem with my luggage during my journey.

The excitement grew everyday closer to my departure. The day of my departure was quite hard for me as I had to leave my beloved people and place, but it was also exciting as I went closer to my goal.
