Welcome to Germany
On 15 July the deadlines of many study programmes have ended. Now you have to wait until you'll finally receive the positive answer you are hoping for. We'll bridge the gap by showing you, how some of the over 400 universities in Germany welcome their foreign students. We show you, what's inside their "Welcome Packages".

The International Office (In German: Akademisches Auslandsamt) is most interersting and important for you. Its co-workers know what troubles foreign students the most. They help you to settle in and tell you, which administrative offices you must pay a visit. In short: They are your most important contact.
29 Welcome Packages
To make it easier for you to get used to your new life in Germany, many International Offices surprise their foreign students with a special "Welcome Package". It contains mostly lots of brochures and flyers about life and study at your university but also many other little somethings. Study-in.de wanted to know it all and asked the universities to send us one of their packages. 29 replied and really inspired us. They sent gummybears, pens, umbrellas and even covers for bicycle saddles to name only a few things.
With the help of a whole bunch of little playmobil men we composed pictures out of them. Have a look at each of them in our colourful picture gallery. In the meantime our facebook fans voted for their favourite picture: The winner is the one of Uni Bonn getting 19 votes with Hochschule Harz and FH Frankfurt following suit on ranks two and three with seven votes each.
